The Plains Township Police Department is a first rate, full services police agency providing twenty-four hours, seven days a week, 365 days a year protection covering an approximate land area of 13 square miles.

Being a first rate police agency whose mission is to deliver exceptional community policing, the Plains Township Police Department provides the following programs:

1.  Education Programs – Our educational programs focus on crime prevention, bicycle safety, drug abuse, child safety, and residential and business security.
2.  Police Ride-Along Programs – The Plains Township Police Department has a Ride-Along program that helps to provide a better understanding of a policy officer’s role in the community.
3. Lunch with School Children – The lunch with school children helps to create the feeling that police are friends and can be approached.
4.  Child Identification Programs – Provides parents with fingerprints and photographs of their child.
