A certificate of Zoning Compliance Permit is required prior to all new tenants and owners occupying both residential and commercial buildings.   It is commonly referred to as an occupancy permit it is not, the difference is:

Occupancy Permit is issued by the Building Inspector after completion of new construction or addition.

Zoning Compliance is issued before a new owner or tenant can occupy an existing home or business.

Zoning Compliance Inspections are $65.00 for residential units and $175.00 for commercial.
