Safety

Protect your family!!

As heating season fast approaches, residents are encouraged to check the batteries in their smoke detectors. The current ordinance requires one smoke detector on every level and one in each bedroom.   The ordinance also requires that carbon monoxide detectors  be installed in the vicinity of  any new gas, oil, coal or wood burning appliances or heating equipment installed or replaced in their homes.

While the current ordinance doesn’t require carbon monoxide detectors in home burning gas/oil/coal/wood – installing these detectors may save your life and the lives of your loved ones. Installation in the vicinity of bedrooms, helps ensure that in the event of a leak, you will hear the alarm.
